Paracord is a thin, lightweight kernmantel rope made of nylon. The sheathing consists of a high number of tightly interwoven strands, resulting in a smooth and even surface. Paracord was originally used as a parachute line in parachutes during the Second World War. Despite its thin diameter, it stands out for its enormous tear resistance and durability. In the meantime Paracord is obviously also used outside the military, such as in our dog leashes and collars. While there are different types of Paracord, which vary in thickness and breaking load, we always adapt the material to the requirements of the dogs size. No matter how big or small the collar, all our collars are made of 100% nylon, which gives the best possible results.
Paracord offers the advantage that it does not rot when it is wet and also dries quickly. So the answer is, yes, you can wash the collar, but please note the following instructions:
- For best results, we recommend soaking the collar/leash in warm water with a mild detergent (e.g. wool detergent) for 2-3 hours.
- Afterwards wash at 30 degrees in the "easy care" setting
-Please note that frequent washing can speed up the aging process and lead to a loss of color intensity
When the collar or leash is completely braided, the Paracord laces must be cut off and securely closed. This sealing must be done with extreme heat and ensures that the products do not have an open ending. There is no other suitable process at this point except our applied technology. Our claim is to set the sealing point centrally at the inner end of the collar, as small as possible, but as secure as necessary, so that it is virtually invisible from the outside.

If you do not already know the neck measurement of your dog, please check before ordering. What you need is your dog and a measuring tape. As an alternative to the tape measure you can also use a string, the removed circumference of which you then measure with a ruler or folding rule. While your four-legged friend is standing during the measurement, you measure with the tape exactly where the collar usually lies, right in the middle of the neck. Make sure that it fits tightly, but that exactly one finger fits between neck and tape measure. The determined value now corresponds to a respective size model in our example Table. Now select the model, order, enjoy the excitement, unpack, enjoy again, put it on and take a picture.
